Since the age of 18 Mikeya has participated and been heavily involved in the pageant industry. With the new rule of age restriction being lifted in the Miss Universe Organization and with her 30th birthday approaching, Mikeya has decided that now is the best time to give it one more try.

The third weekend of June Mikeya will contend for the title of Miss South Carolina USA as Miss Marlboro County USA. Friday, June 14th the preliminary competition begins; where she will compete in the swimsuit and evening wear phases of competition. First thing Saturday morning she will enter into her personal interview with the judges to present why she should carry the prestigious title. Later Saturday evening at 7:00 pm, the process of elimination begins and the group of 30+ women will be cut down to 16...10...5 and then 1, Miss South Carolina USA. If Mikeya is fortunate enough to obtain the crown, she will then compete for the title Miss USA this upcoming August.

Some of you may know...pageants can be very expensive, especially in a world where the price of eggs and gas are fluctuating drastically. For the past decade Mikeya has strongly depended on community in assisting her with reaching her pageant financial goals and now she needs your help once more.
